Measure Review strives to publish poetry that takes risks while working within clearly defined formal frameworks.

While we do not print free verse, we will consider publishing nonce forms that work within patterns of constraint that are not based in meter or rhyme, but it is your responsibility to successfully explain these patterns in your cover letter. If your formal framework is not immediately recognizable—or persuasively explained in your cover letter—your submission will be rejected outright.
